When I work on a new piece I always do a brainstorm session in my head and then do a quick sketch on my computer. My drawing skills are atrocious! I thought I'd share one of these before I go about making the piece. Later this weekend I'll show you the finished result. I love the idea of mixing cools colors with warm tones. This statement piece will include warm gold mixed with cool metallic grey pyrite and light pink opal. The gold pendant has an Ikat pattern and I'm going to use soft brushed teardrop beads. I think the mix of hard and soft will create something very unique and I'm excited to get into my studio tonight!
